Sauna, hot tub & outdoor fireplace

Treeline Cottage is our family home in the forest and we'd love to share it with you. Nick, Laura and our Labradoodle Albus live here, so you'll always have a familiar face around if you need local tips or good conversation. Prefer to keep to yourself? That's completely fine too.
Upstairs, four private rooms open onto a shared sitting area with a fridge, coffee machine and kettle. Downstairs you'll find the sauna and outside a wood-fired hot tub, both available as part of our wellness add-on. When the sky turns green, the outdoor fireplace is right there waiting.

Chase the aurora with local guides, or just step into our garden and look up.

Mush your own sled team through silent snow forests. The dogs love it as much as you will.

Frozen rivers, white fells and big skies. Tours for first-timers and speed demons alike.

Cross the Arctic Circle, meet the man himself, and send a postcard with his stamp.
Aurora nights and snow-muffled silence in winter; midnight sun and BBQ smoke drifting over the lawn in summer.

Snow to the windowsills, sauna steam in the cold air, and the aurora dancing over the treeline.

The midnight sun never really sets. Long BBQ evenings on the porch and a lawn made for zoomies.

Our wellness add-on gives you one use of the sauna and one use of the wood-fired hot tub. Use them on the same night or save one for later, the sauna one evening and the hot tub another. It is entirely up to you.
Both take around 45 to 60 minutes to heat up, so we ask that you arrange your slot with us in advance. Both are private per room, just let us know when you'd like to go.
“We saw the northern lights from the hot tub on our second night. The home feels like staying with friends. Games, blankets, even treats for our dog.”
“Perfect base for Santa Claus Village with three kids. The slot schedule for the bathroom worked fine with a little planning, and the sauna fixed every cold toe.”
“Midnight sun BBQs on the porch, coffee with a view of the pines. We came for winter photos of the aurora and left planning a summer return.”

Yes, Treeline Cottage is our family home and we live here year round. We rent out the four upstairs rooms while you're here, so you'll have us around if you need anything. We're not in your pocket but we're not far away either.
Yes. On clear nights with aurora activity, you can see them right from the garden and the outdoor fireplace. We are far enough from city lights for proper dark skies. Aurora season runs late August to early April.
There is one toilet upstairs for the four guest rooms and a separate toilet downstairs. The bathroom itself is downstairs and has two showers and a sauna. It is used one room at a time, so we have a simple slot schedule on the door where guests can write in their preferred time. It works well and means everyone gets their space without any fuss. The sauna takes around 45 to 60 minutes to heat up.
The kitchen is available on request. Just let us know in advance and we'll sort a time that works. Upstairs there is a shared sitting area with a fridge, microwave, coffee machine and kettle, so most day-to-day needs are covered without going downstairs.
For €50 you get one use of the sauna and one use of the hot tub, not necessarily on the same night. Each additional use of either after that is €30. Both take around 45 to 60 minutes to heat up, so just let us know in advance and we'll have everything ready for you.
We are located remotely in the forest, so we strongly advise having a car. It gives you the freedom to explore Lapland at your own pace and makes getting to and from us much easier.
Yes, outside you'll find a fireplace that is perfect for cold evenings, stargazing and aurora watching. We'll make sure it is stocked and ready for you.
Please do! We are proudly pet-friendly, our own Labradoodle Albus insists on it. Dogs stay free; we just ask that they stay off the beds.
